About Picture this Edit

A quick image editor for the small jobs that do not deserve opening a full photo app: crop a screenshot to its content, square a photo or crop it to a circle for a profile picture, resize it for a website, flip it, make it black and white, invert it, or dress it up with a polaroid frame or a drop shadow.

Pick an edit from the list, apply it, and stack as many as you like. Undo and redo are there if you change your mind, and Save downloads the finished image.

Images are processed on this server to do the editing and are not kept.

Questions

What does "Crop to Visible Bounds" do?

It trims away the empty or transparent border around the content, which is ideal for cleaning up screenshots and logos.

How do I crop a picture into a circle?

Choose Crop to Circle. It takes the centre square of the picture and makes everything outside the circle transparent, with a smooth edge, so the result drops straight into a profile picture, an avatar or a round logo. Save it as the PNG it gives you to keep the transparency.

What image formats can I use?

JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP all work. The result is saved as a PNG so that transparency and frames are kept.

Are my photos kept?

No. The image is sent to this server only to perform the edit and is not stored afterwards.
